Kristen handles a variety of intellectual property work, including patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution. Her expertise spans a wide range of technology areas, from complex polymer science and battery innovations to mattress coverings and baseball bats. She has worked for a national law firm in the intellectual property practice group, prosecuting patents and trademarks, and handling trademark and copyright disputes. She has also worked for a prominent automotive OEM, addressing copyright, indemnity, and non-disclosure agreement issues to help the client protect its intellectual property while facilitating positive collaborations to benefit the organization both internally and with its external strategic partners.
Kristen has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and a Master of Science Degree in Chemistry, with a focus on physical chemistry. She earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was on the school’s law review and participated in the school’s pro bono legal clinic.
Kristen also regularly works in her community to promote science and engineering careers to children. She has chaired science fairs and coached Science Olympiad teams.
