Alaina is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor degree at Wayne State University Law School. She is in her third year of law school and is currently the President of the Wayne Intellectual Property Student Association and the Executive Note and Comment Editor of Wayne Law Review. She placed second in the 2023 Midwest regional round of the USPTO National Patent Application Drafting Competition.
Alaina earned her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Grand Valley State University. During her time at Grand Valley, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant and conducted research regarding the pathogenicity of Candida albicans. Before joining the firm, she completed an internship at Karmanos Cancer Institute where she studied TMPRSS13, a transmembrane protease, and its relation to breast cancer.
Alaina earned her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Grand Valley State University.
