Shannon Smith coached the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law team

Shannon Smith coached the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law team for the USPTO’s
National Patent Application Drafting Competition. The team placed 1st in the Midwest Regional
Finals, and then placed 3rd in the country at the National Finals at the USPTO in Alexandria,
Virginia. Seventy-five law schools from across the country competed in the competition.
