Steven L. Permut attended a State Bar of Michigan presentation on “Profiting from the Holocaust: Legal and Ethical Controversies over Nazi Art Looting.” Topics such as how American museums ended up with many such pieces of art were discussed. Recent popular movies such as The Monuments Men and Woman in Gold have raised this topic of replevin and conversion of art to the general public’s awareness.
