Scott Hogan was a panelist at ACI’s 6th Advanced Summit on Medical Device Patents held in New York City, NY. Scott discussed recent developments in the law of indefiniteness, analyzing Federal Circuit case law and offering tips to practitioners to help avoid invalidity pitfalls when writing and prosecuting patent applications. Attendees included Federal Court Judges, Administrative Patent Judges of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board for the USPTO, corporate counsel, private practitioners, as well as other medical device and patent professionals. Reising sponsored the event for the second year in a row, and colleagues Corey Beaubien, Eric Jones, Stefan Osterbur, Shannon Smith, and Jim Stevens joined Scott at the conference.
