Corey M. Beaubien authored an article in the IAM Yearbook 2019, released in October 2018.  The article is entitled “Patent Confidential – On-Sale Bar and Secret Sales in America Invents Act Era” and looks at recent court decisions involving secret sales under the AIA’s on-sale bar.

Corey M. Beaubien and Melinda D. Zatkoff attended the Design Day 2018 conference at the USPTO in Alexandria, Virginia in April. Firms, companies, and examiners gathered to discuss international developments in design law, prosecution best practices, and trends in U.S. design patent litigation.

Corey M. Beaubien was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and quoted in an article entitled, “A Shape-Shifting Car? Patent Filings Point to Auto Industry’s Future,” published in September 2017. His quote concerned patenting efforts by traditional automakers and new arrivals to the automotive industry from Silicon Valley.

Corey M. Beaubien attended the Intellectual Property and Licensing Symposium at Wayne State University Law School, hosted by the Michigan Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society (LES). A panel of industry leaders from GM, Stryker, Navistar, Delphi, and Invest Detroit discussed their experiences and best practices in licensing intellectual property and other technologies.
