George Grove recently observed his fiftieth anniversary of practicing patent law on behalf of General Motors. He was hired March 15, 1965 by Paul J. Ethington, then an executive attorney at GM and later a namesake of our firm. During the next thirty six years Grove handled patent drafting and prosecution, joint development agreements, patent licensing, and patent litigation matters. Since retiring from GM in 2001, Grove has worked at our firm, handling patent application and prosecution matters referred to him by GM’s Legal Staff.
